TravelManagers is celebrating its 2017 first half sales results with total cruise sales increasing 15% for the first six months January to June this year. The results are not surprising given that the company recorded 22% growth in the cruise sector in 2016 and, in February this year, was awarded Top 5 in sales by Cruiseco, for the third consecutive year, for 2016.

Executive General Manager Michael Gazal says TravelManagers’ sustained cruise growth and the Cruiseco award highlight the significant contribution personal travel managers (PTMs) make to the cruise sector.

“It’s a solid start to our 2017 cruise sales and a significant achievement for our PTMs to be recognised in winning Cruiseco’s top sales award three years running. It’s testament to their commitment to personal service and their ability to tailor make each client enquiry to the right cruise product. It really shows the strength of our PTM sales focus on the cruise market.

“We know we have a winning formula and are proud that as a company we continue to take very positive steps to educate our PTMs and promote the value of cruising, and develop strategies and techniques for converting cruise enquiries.”

Last month TravelManagers’ Western Australian PTMs took the opportunity to celebrate this year’s 15% sales growth. Top selling WA cruise specialist Carl Retschlag, a finalist in the Home Based/Mobile Agent of the Year category at CLIA’s Cruise Awards earlier this year, attributes his personal success and that of the wider TravelManagers network to the focus the company places on growing the cruise sector.

“TravelManagers allows me to use my creativity to create new and interesting ways to offer exciting value for money cruise experiences to my clients and as a result I am achieving results I never thought possible.”
