Releasing baby turtles into the wild during Club Med Cherating Beach famil

A recent five-night famil at Club Med Cherating Beach Malaysia, was part of an exclusive TravelManagers educational for a select group of personal travel managers.

Hosted by Club Med and Malaysian Airlines, and escorted by Club Med representative Luke Skarbek, the travel managers – Victoria-based Maisie Noonan; New South Wales reps Tanya Tyler, Jane Fowler, Michelle Michael-Pecora, Jason Smith and Irena Bryan,t and National Partnership Office representative Pru Gallagher – enjoyed a night in KL before a 45 minute flight to the beautiful Cherating Beach resort – and the group was very impressed!

“Club Med just offers so much and the great thing is that you can do as much or as little as you like. I certainly made the most of their huge range of activities and really got involved! With an all-inclusive concept it’s quite easy to over indulge so the yoga and fitness classes along with the flying fox and rope course was a great way to stay in shape but also have lots of fun. With meals and drinks including cocktails, all part of the price, it’s the perfect way to holiday,” said Tanya Tyler.

Maisie Noonan’s highlight was the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to release baby turtles back into their natural habitat.

“Club Med Cherating Beach has a turtle hatchery and being able to witness the turtles walk into the ocean for the very first time was truly a magical experience. It is definitely an activity I will be recommending – it is seasonal so be sure to check first before promising clients,” Maisie said.

The family-friendly resort not only provides fantastic kids’ club facilities and activities (The Little Circus, Petit Cooking School) but also provides grown-ups with a relaxing getaway.

“The adults-only zen pool area offers exactly what you would expect – peace, tranquility and relaxation. With its mesmerising views out across the beach to the ocean and lush jungles beyond, it was simply a wonderful place to escape to. For couples I would highly recommend dining at the specialty restaurant at least once as it provides a pleasant change for the daily buffets that are part of the all-inclusive price,” said Michelle Michael-Pecora.

Exploring Cherating Village outside of Club Med is a must, according to Jason Smith: “I can highly recommend the local tour to see the fireflies, it was an incredible experience and again something truly unique that you don’t get to see every day. It’s well worth venturing out to try the local cuisine outside of Club Med, it’s very affordable and the seafood is amazing.”
