TravelManagers is committed to personal development for their PTMs and the launch of their dedicated Home Based Business Results Training Program is another first for the company.
“Personal travel managers have always enjoyed our inclusive strategy and strong leadership as well as support from their local state based business partnership managers,” said executive general manager Michael Gazal.
“The national partnership office already provides famils, technical support, state and intra-state regional meetings, networking and mentorship opportunities and well as regular supplier and technology training. This latest training program is simply an extension of our existing training support.”
Gazal said the motivation behind creating a dedicated training focusing on business results is simple.
“There is nothing currently out there from a training perspective that caters for the nuances and challenges of home based travel businesses. So, we set about creating a training program that would cater to our personal travel managers who currently have successful business that just need extra support in growing those businesses to the next level.
“We enlisted external expertise from a training supplier whom we have worked with for many years, to bring our ideas to life. It is this commitment in providing a high level of training support for our personal travel managers that sets TravelManagers apart from our competition.”
The Home Based Business Results Training Program rolled out late last year in Western Australia and Victoria, with 23 personal travel managers taking up the challenge of this six-month training program.
“The program is designed for those personal travel managers who already have the basic fundamentals of their business in place, and have demonstrated experience within the industry. In short they will learn skills and techniques to manage their existing business better through growth and sustainability,” said Gazal.
Personal travel manager Lesley Cavill, representative for Mosman Park in Western Australia, attributes the practical approach from the training that can be easily adopted with significant and immediate results.
“I view this as the most valuable tool to grow and manage my business and highly recommend for all personal managers to do it. You will learn so much about yourself and your business and there are some really quick and easy skills I have learnt that I will now implement in my business straight away. It is definitely worth the time investment, I learnt so much in such a short space of time.”
Personal travel managers attend seven full training days over six months and complete homework tasks. The delivery and assessment model uses an integrated combination of classroom and online learning, in personal facilitated workshop days, web workshops and written assessments.
Upon successful completion of the course the personal travel managers receive a Certificate IV in Travel and a Certificate IV in Business Sales, both nationally accredited qualifications.
New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland personal travel managers will also have the opportunity to undertake the Home Based Business Results Training Program as it rolls out around the country throughout 2016.
