A self-confessed USA expert, New South Wales personal travel manager Louise McCarthy, representative for Castle Hill was excited to discover a new and exciting destination in Huntington Beach, on her recent CT Partners’ incentive famil to Los Angeles hosted by American Airlines, Qantas Airways and Hyatt.
“Los Angeles is a destination I know well, with many of my family orientated clients travelling there in recent years. This famil allowed me the opportunity to explore a few areas I hadn’t been to before. I was most impressed with Huntington Beach,” said McCarthy.
It’s about an hour south of Los Angeles on the coast and […] only a half-hour drive to Disneyland so is a great alternative to staying in Anaheim.”
McCarthy earned her place on the famil by achieving the highest revenue sales growth as part of a CT Partners’ incentive, to celebrate the commencement of American Airlines flying from Los Angeles to Sydney.
Participants on the seven-night famil had the opportunity to fly to Los Angeles on American Airlines and return on partner Airline Qantas Airways.
“We were lucky enough to experience American Airlines’ ‘Economy Plus’ seats. The extra leg room was a lovely advantage and I can highly recommend this to clients as it made the thirteen hour journey most comfortable,” said McCarthy.
She experienced Hollywood, Warner Brothers Studios and a day at Disneyland. Shopping at the Citadel outlets provided another great new experience for McCarthy.
“Karmel Shuttle offer a fantastic new tour for Australians looking to make the most of their last day in Los Angeles before flying home in the evening. They pick you up at your hotel with your luggage, take you to the Citadel outlets where you have access to their VIP room. They even store your luggage while you head out shopping. The VIP room provides snacks, drinks, a lounge area and lovely bathrooms where you can rest, change and repack your bags with all your new shopping purchases, before being taken straight to the airport,” she said.
The ability to share her personal experiences with clients is important to McCarthy.
“Having direct access to suppliers and being able to soak up all their local knowledge makes such a difference to the sort of experience I’m able to put together for my clients. We enjoyed an evening event hosted by Hyatt Regency Orange County, a hotel I use regularly for my clients staying in Anaheim. It was wonderful to meet the new sales manager and create that personal bond. As a result I can now provide my first hand tips and experience for places to eat, where to shop and must do activities, I’m confident I can give my clients accurate and up to date information. It’s these personal recommendations that make all the difference.”
Executive general manager Michael Gazal commended McCarthy for her inclusion on the basis of top sales growth.
“It really shows the strength of TravelManagers’ sales volumes and the value home-based personal travel managers have within the industry.”
