L-R: Annalize Troost; Kelly O’Connor, Avalon Waterways; Stella Vlahos, Qatar Airways and Walter Nand, Globus Tours at MonSTaR’s charity fundraising ball

PTM Annalize Troost, representative for West Pennant Hills, has reason to celebrate. Troost donated an Avalon European River Cruise for a couple and arranged for two Qatar Airways business class tickets to Europe, which collectively raised $23,000 at this year’s MonSTaR Foundation’s ten year Anniversary Ball, a fundraiser for motor neurone disease.

“Having the ability to give back within my community is hugely important to me. Sponsoring the MonSTaR Golf PRO AM event at Pennant Hills has just been the beginning of my support of community and charity events. Knowing that I can help raise funds for such a well deserving charity like MonSTaR through my relationships, experience and expertise is incredibly rewarding,” said Troost.

Troost’s relationship with the MonSTaR Foundation began through networking opportunities.

“Mark Golding, who runs the charity golf day to raise funds and awareness for supporting sufferers of motor neurone disease, happened to win a prize I donated as part of my golf hole sponsorship. From this opportunity I am now the sole retail partner providing travel prizes for the annual MonSTaR charity Black Tie fund raising Ball. This is the value of networking, opportunities will come.”

The support Troost has received for the MonSTaR charity event from sponsors has been overwhelming.

“The total amount raised from the evening was $440,000 which will go to benefit those living with motor neurone disease and working on its cure, as well as supporting educational programs for children living with disabilities. I can’t thank Globus Family of Brands and Qatar Airways enough for their support in assisting with the travel auction items.”

TravelManagers has a strong culture of giving back to communities.

“We congratulate Annalize for her work within the local Pennant Hills community. Her genuineness, proactive and thinking outside the box approach, is an inspiration to all personal travel managers and further demonstrates the flexibility of TravelManagers willingness to encourage and support community involvement,” said executive general manager Michael Gazal.
